The Right to Perform
In this editorial project, I designed a comprehensive collection of Safdar Hashmi’s writings, aiming to honor his legacy through a lens of modern minimalism. The visual strategy centers on Hashmi himself, utilizing high-impact photography to create an intimate connection between the reader and the writer. The book’s physical construction—featuring a semi-flexible cover protected by a dedicated sleeve—balances durability with an approachable, tactile feel. Printed on premium coated paper with a four-color core, the layout remains clean and disciplined to ensure his words remain the focal point. The "soul" of the design in green, a symbolic nod to growth and the enduring vitality of his work, resulting in an archival piece that feels both historically significant and contemporary.
